A 53.14-carat yellow diamond will go under the hammer at an upcoming Phillips auction in Geneva, where it is expected to fetch up to CHF 3.1 million ($3.5 million).
The fancy-vivid-yellow, internally flawless diamond pendant, suspended from a round brilliant diamond, will lead the May 12 Geneva Jewels Auction: IV, Phillips said Monday. The sale, which will commemorate the 100th anniversary of Art Deco, features a curated selection of pieces from prestigious collections, as well as items from well-known design houses such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari, Graff, and Buccellati.
Phillips will preview highlights from the auction in Hong Kong, New York, Singapore and London.
“Following the outstanding results achieved for colored gemstones in 2024, we are particularly excited to present a superb selection this season, alongside Art Deco masterpieces and historically significant treasures,” said Benoit Repellin, worldwide head of jewelry for Phillips.
