A ring with a 43.15-carat yellow diamond is set to lead an upcoming jewelry sale at Phillips, where it is expected to fetch up to $850,000.

The piece features an Old European brilliant-cut, fancy-yellow, VS2-clarity diamond center stone, accented by brilliant-cut diamonds. It will be among nearly 150 items to be offered at the December 13 New York Jewels sale, Phillips said last week.

“The auction features exceptional pieces from important makers, such as René Boivin, Suzanne Belperron, and Jean Schlumberger, alongside stunning offerings in the colored-gemstones and diamond categories,” said Cristina Rodrigo, a jewelry specialist and head of the sale at Phillips. “We’re particularly excited to present several examples of antique-cut diamonds, which are enjoying a surge in popularity right now. Our top lot…is a striking example.”
