A 7.08-carat diamond ring was the highlight of a Sotheby’s jewelry sale in New York, garnering $240,000.
The cut-cornered rectangular step-cut, D-color, VVS1-clarity diamond center stone is flanked by a pair of trapeze-cut diamonds, according to Sotheby’s. The piece fell just shy of its $280,000 upper price tag at the December 12 Fine Jewels sale.
The auction also included items from the collections of style icon and beauty mogul Sydell Miller and singer, dancer and patron of the arts Merle Reskin. It featured a variety of colored diamonds, gemstones and pieces from famed designers including Kat Florence, Raymond Yard, Bulgari, Cartier and Kwiat.
