Diamonds make up four of the top five lots at an upcoming John Moran jewelry sale, including a yellow diamond set to fetch up to $70,000.

The ring, which features a radiant-cut, 11.78-carat, fancy-light-yellow, SI1-clarity diamond, flanked by two trillion-cut diamonds weighing 0.50 carats each, will be the star of the September 17 Autumn Jewelry & Watches sale, the California-based auction house said last week. The event will also feature jewels from Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., and Bulgari.

A bracelet designed in a geometric pattern, containing round, old-European-cut and rectangular step-cut diamonds weighing approximately 28.11 carats in total, will also be up for grabs. That piece has a high estimate of $50,000. Meanwhile, a pear-shaped, 6.26-carat, J-color, SI2-clarity diamond ring also has an upper price tag of $50,000.

Other notable items include a set by M. Gerard comprising a necklace and two bracelets and featuring an infinity-link design in textured gold, accented by sapphires, rubies, emeralds and diamonds. It carries a high estimate of $50,000. The company will also offer an emerald-cut, 5.01-carat, I-color, VVS2-clarity diamond ring. The piece, which has two tapered baguette-cut diamonds flanking the center stone, is estimated to bring in up to $45,000.
