7.08-carat diamond ring at Sotheby's image

A 7.08-carat diamond ring will lead an upcoming jewelry sale at Sotheby’s, where it is set to fetch up to $280,000. 

The cut-cornered rectangular step-cut, D-color, VVS1-clarity diamond center stone is flanked by a pair of trapeze-cut diamonds, according to Sotheby’s. The piece will be among the 354 lots included in the December 12 Fine Jewels sale in New York. 

The auction also includes jewels from the collection of beauty icon Sydell Miller, as well as of theater benefactor Merle Reskin.  It will feature many colored diamonds and gemstones, with items from well-known designers such as Kat Florence, Raymond Yard, Bulgari, Cartier and Kwiat.

Featuring a cushion-cut, 12.42-carat Ceylon padparadscha sapphire in a bezel-set mounting, this ring has a top estimate of $150,000.

Sotheby’s will sell this bracelet, which contains 25 D-color diamonds ranging from 1.01 to 2.42 carats with VS1 to VVS1 clarity, for as much as $150,000.
