Sothebys 17.48-carat diamond ring

Sotheby’s will offer a 17.48-carat diamond ring at its upcoming Paris jewelry auction, where it is set to fetch up to EUR 500,000 ($546,106).

The pear-shaped, G-color, VS1-clarity diamond ring is scheduled to lead the March 26 Fine Jewelry sale, according to the auction house’s website. It’s one of 240 items to appear at the event, which also features colored diamonds, gemstones and a few other accessories such as handbags and cigarette cases.

The sale will incorporate pieces from well-known design houses, including Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Chaumet, and Cartier.

These Van Cleef & Arpels earrings feature rectangular step-cut, fancy-yellow, VVS2-clarity diamonds weighing 10.06 and 10.15 carats, dangling from removable flowers that are pavé set with brilliant-cut diamonds. They carry an upper estimate of EUR 420,000 ($458,732).
Bearing an oval-shaped, 6.60-carat, fancy-vivid-yellow, internally flawless diamond, this ring has a top price of EUR 400,000 ($436,887).
This Van Cleef & Arpels necklace, with three rows of briolette-cut diamonds and a brilliant-cut diamond clasp, has an high estimate of EUR 400,000 ($436,887).
A necklace sporting a cushion-shaped, 3.12-carat, pigeon’s blood Burmese ruby is estimated at up to EUR 300,000 ($327,667).
A 1950s-era Boucheron ring contains a Kashmir sapphire within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, in a gold rope twist design mount. It has a top presale price of EUR 240,000 ($262,133).
A ring with a rectangular step-cut, 14.34-carat sapphire flanked by trapezoid and baguette diamonds is set to bring in up to EUR 180,000 ($196,601).
Bearing a rectangular step-cut emerald between tapered baguette diamond shoulders, this ring has an upper estimate of EUR 150,000 ($163,834).
Of bombé design, this ring has an oval-shaped, 8.93-carat Burmese sapphire in a circular-cut diamond surround. It could sell for up to EUR 140,000 ($152,912).
This Tabbah-designed choker is composed of undulating lines set with brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds. It has an upper estimate of EUR 120,000 ($131,067).
